India

Elephant rider at Amber Fort
India used to be a country which I have kept in my mind for who knows how many years. And this is my first time visiting India. Despite having felt unready for India for some who knows what are the reasons, I’m still trying to adapt to its multi-diverse densely inherited cultures and traditions. Crossing from Pakistan – another country reverberated with the world’s largest religion – Islam, I found myself currently struggling to adjust myself amidst another 3 different religions in the world – the Sikhism, the Hinduism and the Tibetan Buddhism as all come to me in a mere 1-week time! Demystifying each of them has proved to be a veritable quagmire which might not be necessary. But encountering to the world of unknown, I don’t want to surrender to something exists. I want to see, I want to know and I want to learn and these are what make me traveling.

The elusive soul of India is something intriguing. I can’t wait to indulge myself into its quintessence but at the same time getting worried if I’d be able to appreciate the things without losing the interest too soon. Everybody told me to slow the pace down and set aside a few days to simply acclimatize to the country’s multidimensional diversity. It’s simply a stupid idea to take in everything of the country in a single visit. After all, it’s not only a country, it’s a subcontinent!

Fine. Let me crack the code slowly and nicely. I have 4 months for India.
