I’m the only one in my family who never forgets and/or leaves things behind each time I pack to leave home. Neither do I need reminders from others. And I never lose thing as far as my current trip goes. I’m also not a superstitionist. In fact, I discard all kinds of superstitious thinking. But…It wasn’t until I reached Tehran and decided to travel to Afghanistan(In fact, Afghanistan has been on my list since beginning of journey) that everything seemed going out of order.
First, I lose the most important document for applying an Afghanistan visa – the original letter from Malaysia Embassy. (Damn it!). I was so impatient and was totally discouraged and frustrated until the lady in the Afghanistan Embassy in Tehran agreed to accept the photocopied letter. Secondly, I lose a bottle of washing powder in the ‘carpet room’ in Esfahan. (Damn damn it!). I was so sick not because I need to spend money again(what can you expect for the price of a packet of washing powder?) but being incapable of figuring out how things happened and why I can’t get things in control. Thirdly, I lose a note in which I have recorded down all the important directories including the address, contact info and working hours of all relevant embassies in Tehran which I need to go for the visa application. (Damn damn damn it!). I was totally out of burst until I can’t prevent myself from hating myself.
I failed to figure out all the possible reason behind those series of unfortunate events which occurred at such coincidental juncture but to link them with my will to travel to Afghanistan.
Should I ignore the omen and be my own self as I used to be or halt everything and start listening to the omen?
