How to Extend Your Iranian Entry Stamp?

Extension: 2 copies of filled visa extension form(pay IR 5000 at the reception desk in the office for both the forms and a paper file), a copy of the front page of your passport, a copy of your latest visa/entry stamp page, two passport-size photos(with date in Farsi script)(photo without date in Farsi script is not accepted) are required for the extension. Once you have all the required documents in order, asks the guy at the reception to check for you and get all those stapled, before heading to Counter 5 for submission. Don’t forget to collect your receipt. A 20-day of extension, calculating from the last day of your current visa/entry stamp, cost IR 300,000 will be issued in 0 to 5 working days.

Photo: Give your standard passport-size photo to the lady in the small building opposite the extension office and ask for date stamp. They will scan your photo and print out 8 copies of photo with date in Farsi script. Expect to pay IR 30,000 for this odd process.

Payment: The visa extension fee is payable in any of the Bank Melli Branch. There is a Bank Melli Branch approximately 100m from the office. Ask around and you will find it very easily. Tips: Visit any of the Bank Melli Branch in Tehran the day before you visit the visa extension office and ask for VISA, then pay IR 300,000 over the counter. Keep the bank slip for the application the following morning.
