Today is the National Day. So I sneaked in to the ancient Hellenistic/Roman city of Apamea.

I have totally no idea why I would get excited when the dormitory I stayed was occupied by a crazy Czechish guy on a bike; a Japanese girl who has been travelling for 3 years; an Australian guy who is planning to be on the road for 2 years and a Malaysian who is currently also on the road for ???.

While making your trip a long journey is as romantic as you embark a grand overland voyage, it definitely isn’t a good and smart idea though, at least practically. You get tired faster and more often when you are on the road and will soon lost all the interests eventually. As for mentally, I wonder one can digest all the history and knowledge keep inundating your mind, without succumbing in front of all the great civilization. May be you will say that physically exhausted isn’t comparable to mentally tiredness. Well, I still have time to further testify it. Let’s see then.
