PRAYERS

- 7.30am (in Arabic, with a catechesis). The foreigners who cannot understand Arabic are welcome to walk in the mountain or wash the dishes.

- Sunday: Mass at 8am.

- Meditation in silence at 7pm (winter-time, from October to March) or 7.30pm (summer-time)

- During the week: Mass at 8pm (winter-time) or 8.30pm (summer-time)

- Saturday evening: Vesper at 8pm (winter-time) or 8.30pm (summer-time)

MEALS

- Preparation of breakfast at 9.15am

- Preparation of lunch at 2.15pm

- Preparation of dinner at 9.15pm (winter-time) or 9.30pm (summer-time)

WATER

- There is filtered drinking water in the kitchen.

TOILET

- There are men’s toilets just beyond the main entrance of the monastery, up the stairs on the right. Women’s toilets are down the stairs on the left of the terrace. Thanks for throwing the tissue in the bin and not in the toilets.

SHOWER

- There are showers in both men and women’s bathroom area. Please spare water as it is precious in the desert.

ROOM

- Please clean your room before leaving and bring the sheets to the entry of the women’s toilets. The community is not responsible for loss or stolen goods (pay attention to your passport, tickets or other valuables).

LIBRARY

- If you want to use it, ask a member of the Community. Please ask if you want to borrow a book.

·         You can volunteer your assistance by washing dishes, preparing meals, cleaning up generally or assisting in agricultural or environmental activities, etc.

·         If you go for a walk in the desert, you can take a plastic bag with you to collect the rubbish.

·         Don’t forget to confirm the flights and to check your visa.

·         If you want to help the monastery in its project, there is a box in front of the church.
