Dinner time! |
Suddenly get appointed as ‘Director of Dinner’ by Father Paulo in front of all guests at the end of the mass this evening. I was like ‘Huh? What’s that?’ I think he must be joking as he always used to be and so, I ignored him, not taking it seriously. Some guests praised me for the delicious falafels during the ensuing dinner when we delivered the platters. I guessed those French who used to teach(if not order) newcomers on how the chores should be done just because they arrived here earlier than anyone else must be feeling uncomfortable. Karri (a Finnish) was probably right. He was about to help but gave up eventually when there were Queen of the Kitchen and King of the House who tried to manipulate people’s soul. Arghhh…too many gossips here. Anyway, I said no to the guests who get misunderstood, with smile, telling them I’m not the one who prepared it.
I went back to my room right after the dinner, not helping to clean up the mess as I always did with Dada in the previous days. I have been sick of doing the chores when everybody just took things for granted.
